My pick for Jerky Direct Jerky Of The Week…Fajita Flavored Beef Stix. Not just because that’s what’s currently in my mouth and this is my first jerky of the week, but because they’re so good. If you like spicy stuff this is perfect. It’s got a little kick but the hotness doesn’t last long like the Habanero flavored does. The Beef Stix are good for dipping too. I usually dip in the jalapeno cheese dip that you can find in your store’s chip aisle (double shot of hot yumminess). But any dip’ll do. A perfect snack for Sunday football, the playoffs are coming up wink wink.

Fast And Fun 2011

Well, 2011 has been fast and fun. Lots of new Jerky Direct members to help. Our Super 6 Power Team IS the fastest growing team in Jerky Direct. It’s about doubled in size over the last month or so. More and more people starting to understand ever day that Jerky Direct and Super 6 Power Team mean business. Click the Super 6 Power Team link over to the right to take a tour. Spring is here. Actually, in just a few days we’ll have Summer temps but, I won’t complain. I will be out enjoying it. Hitting the streets too, to spread the word about the most fun and tasty way to add some cash to your wallet.

Good things to come

Hope everyone had a Happy holiday weekend.

A couple of things to mention tonight…First, DudesJerky has it’s own little jingle. You can listen to it here. A guy from fiverr.com made it for me. I love it and will use him again in the near future.

Second, the jerky drawing has been put on hold while I work on better ideas as to how I pick winners. Autoresponders are not very dependable. I have better ideas though, more fun too. And the drawing will start again at the first of the year.

Many many ideas to work on by the end of the year and them some exciting ways to promote my site and Jerky Direct in the new year. I can’t wait.

A new video

I finally got around to making another short movie with xtranormal, the site that Geico has used for their last two commercials.

My new video isn’t so much about making money like the first one. This one is about a recipe that includes some of the turkey jerky. Check it out here, Turkey Mac.

Getting Noticed

I’ve had a bumper sticker with my website address on it for over a year. Seen a few people look at it but it never started any conversation in a parking lot.

For a couple months I’ve had the magnetic sign on the driver side door. (need to get one for passenger side too) You wouldn’t believe how many people look at it and come over to the car to talk, asking what dudesjerky is. This last time was the best so far. Two young guys stopped by as I was getting out of the car. The conversation lasted a good 5 minutes, they asked the right questions. I gave them some business cards before they left.

Who knows what happens next but any time they think of or hear the word jerky, or even needing some extra money, they’ll think of me. And of course they’ll be reminded every time they see me driving through town.

Home Based Business Week

Home Based Business Week is October 10 – 16th. Perfect time to start exploring other options that most people don’t really know are available to them. I’ve been doing the home based biz thing for a long time; just about to start week 208 in a row. And I’m loving every second of it.

October 10 – 16th is also Build Your Business With Business Cards Week. That’s what our Super 6 Power Team is all about…offline advertising that is easy and doable for everybody with little or no cost.

So, all this week I will be driving around, showing off my magnetic dudesjerky car sign, and stopping wherever I can and handing out business cards. Just simply strolling by shoppers putting groceries in their car and saying “Have a great day” while handing them a card or flier is really as easy as it gets.

Jerkymobile?

I finally got a magnetic sign to put on my car door. Check it out here. Driving around Walmart’s parking lot, I got quite a few looks. So it must stand out, better than my tiny bumper sticker.

Now I’m ordering some new hats. About 4 or 5 of them, each with a different look. Might get a shirt or two, also. If only I could clone myself and wear them all at the same time out in public.

I like advertising offline. Way easier and more fun than online. Anybody could do this. And it’s all tax deductible.

Next, I print up more flyers and find more places to put them.
